What information to include on a dog tag

Recently we have been dealing with a large number of dogs that have recall issues; some of which are running such distances that they end up getting separated from their owners and are reported as lost!
It is a legal requirement for your dog to have a tag or plate on their collar which displays the owners details, which must include your name and address, it is also advisable to include a contact number.

Dog theft is currently on the rise, therefore we strongly advise against displaying your dogs name on any visible tag or plate, and although not a legal requirement we fully endorse the use of microchips.

You can find out more about microchipping by reading The Compulsory Permanent Identification of Dogs by the Dogs Trust.
